I’m Penny owner of It's a Dogs Life. As well as being a Dog Trainer, I am also a qualified Canine Behaviourist.

So here's some information about my Dog and Puppy training services.

I provide help and bespoke solutions for owners that may be experiencing unwanted behaviour from their canine family member or just need some general obedience training. I give on the spot guidance and tuition to enable you to correct any unwanted behaviour you may be experiencing, for example –

• nipping/biting
• toilet training difficulties
• over excitable behaviour
• jumping up at people/furniture
• destructive chewing
• anxiety
• stealing
• excessive barking

This training takes place in your home where most behaviour problems take place.

In the same session, I can help with all aspects of basic obedience training, including

• How to achieve consistent recall
• Stay
• Down
• Leave
• Pulling on the lead

My methods are modern,kind and effective, based on positive reinforcement not punishment. Resulting in a fantastic relationship with your best friend based on trust and mutual respect; not fear. I am also an advocate of clicker training.

I like to have as many of your family/household as there as possible, as consistency is vital.

Furthermore, I studied canine nutrition and will be able to help you make the right dietary choices for your dog from the bewildering range of products on the market

For your peace of mind I have a Canine First Aid qualification, Full Police Disclosure Certificate and we also have specialist insurance for Custody, Care and Control of your dog.
